Team Leader, Payroll

About the role

The Team Leader, Payroll will lead and oversee payroll operations for Applied Medical’s entities across the MENAT region. This position ensures accurate, timely payroll processing, compliance with tax, social security and labour regulations, and maintains robust payroll records and controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end payroll process for all employees in the MENAT region.
• Process salaries, allowances, commissions, bonuses, deductions, benefits and other payroll components accurately and within required timelines.
• Review payroll calculations and supporting documentation before final payment approval.
• Oversee final settlements such as salary balances, unused leave, notice pay, severance and end‑of‑service benefits.
• Ensure payroll changes are documented, approved and correctly reflected in the payroll system.
• Maintain compliance with payroll tax, social security, labour and statutory requirements in each MENAT country.
• Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on payroll practices.
• Provide guidance to the payroll team, support complex payroll and tax matters, and coordinate with internal departments and external service providers.
• Contribute to process improvement, payroll reporting, audit readiness and system enhancements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading payroll operations across multiple countries.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax, social security, labour and statutory requirements in MENAT jurisdictions.
• Ability to interpret and apply changes in payroll legislation.
• Experience guiding and supporting a payroll team.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
