Specification Sales – Construction Market

About the role

The Specification Salesperson reports to the General Manager and is responsible for driving business growth by ensuring Colortek products are specified in construction projects. The role involves proactive engagement with architects, interior designers, contractors and other key decision‑makers throughout the design and construction value chain.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Meet with existing and potential clients to understand project requirements and present Colortek solutions.
• Collaborate with design consultants to have Colotek products included in project specifications.
• Develop and deliver training and awareness programs for decision‑makers across the value chain.
• Maintain dialogue at each project stage to anticipate demand and manage product planning.

Required profile

• BA or MA in Interior Design, Business Marketing or related field.
• Proven experience in specification sales within the design and construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction projects, design processes and industry trends.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Results‑oriented with a track record of meeting sales targets.
• Willingness to travel and a valid driver’s license.

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret product data sheets and material safety data sheets.
