Solution Engineer, Specialist (Airports Solutions)

About the role

As a Solution Engineer – Specialist you will design and position SITA Airports solutions across the MEA region, helping customers modernise their operations and improve passenger experience. Reporting to the Solution Engineering Director, you will work closely with Sales, Product, Architecture and Delivery teams to create scalable, resilient airport technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and positioning of SITA Airports solutions across MEA in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Lead pre‑sales activities such as qualification, solution shaping, proposals, workshops and RFP/RFI/RFQ responses.
• Translate airport operational requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions using the SITA portfolio.
• Design solutions across Passenger Processing, Biometrics & Digital Identity, Baggage Management, Airport Operations and Smart Airport initiatives.
• Engage customers through technical workshops, solution presentations and demonstrations.
• Define integration approaches across airport, airline, cloud, infrastructure, network, API and third‑party systems.
• Ensure designs meet 24/7 operational requirements with focus on resilience, availability, scalability and maintainability.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies and compliance considerations during design and proposal stages.
• Maintain alignment with ICAO, IATA, ACI standards and SITA architectural principles.
• Stay current with trends such as biometrics, digital identity, automation, cloud platforms and AI‑enabled airport operations.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of experience in IT.
