Shop Drawing Technician – Technical Designer for Furniture

About the role
The Technical Designer translates briefs and sketches into production‑ready shop drawings, ensuring accuracy and completeness. The role blends strong organisational skills with technical expertise in furniture design.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate with designers to turn creative sketches into detailed execution drawings.
- Produce clear, legible execution drawings using AutoCAD.
- Suggest creative solutions for design, structural and assembly challenges.
- Collaborate with the production coordinator to monitor the production process and drive quality improvements.
- Research efficient techniques and materials, balancing price, quality and functionality.
Required profile
- Energetic, self‑motivated individual with strong human values and professional credentials.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment and work collaboratively with designers, sales and production teams.
- Good understanding of the brand’s design values and current design trends.
