Shelter, WASH & Infrastructure Coordinator (SWI)

About the role

The Shelter, WASH & Infrastructure (SWI) Coordinator will lead the design, proposal development and implementation of shelter, water, sanitation and infrastructure projects for displaced populations in Lebanon. Working closely with the Area Programme Manager and partner organisations, the role ensures compliance with DRC standards and donor requirements while supporting field operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of project proposals, work plans and budgets for multiple donors.
• Provide technical advice and support to local partners during implementation and reporting.
• Assist the MEAL coordinator in developing monitoring and evaluation tools for SWI activities.
• Expand DRC’s SWI programming through strategic planning and alignment with global technical standards.
• Conduct capacity assessments of partners and deliver targeted capacity‑building support.
• Coordinate with other technical coordinators to integrate protection, economic recovery and peacebuilding components.

Required profile

• Proven experience in humanitarian shelter, WASH or infrastructure programming.
• Strong background in project design, budgeting and donor proposal writing.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced environments with frequent field travel.
• Knowledge of DRC procedures, global technical standards and coordination mechanisms.
