Settlement & Reconciliation Officer

About the role

The Settlement & Reconciliation Officer will lead advanced reconciliation and settlement processes, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance across merchant and partner transactions. You will work closely with finance, operations, and technical teams to resolve discrepancies and support operational stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee complex reconciliation and settlement activities for merchants, partners, and operational platforms.
• Validate transaction reports, settlement files, invoices, and payout calculations.
• Monitor reconciliation across multiple business models, identifying risks and operational issues.
• Investigate gaps and coordinate corrective actions with relevant teams.
• Review revenue‑share calculations and ensure contractual compliance.
• Prepare financial summaries and monthly reconciliation reports.
• Maintain accuracy across platforms such as PowerBI, MMS, Akurateco, and other financial systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to align financial figures.
• Provide guidance and support to junior officers and team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in settlements, reconciliations, financial operations or payment processing.
• Experience in FinTech, banking or payments industry preferred.
• Professional proficiency in English and the local language.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
