Senior Finance & Accounting Specialist

About the role

Arabian Wanderers is seeking a reliable, highly capable Senior Finance & Accounting Specialist to own day‑to‑day accounting, financial controls and management reporting. This hands‑on individual‑contributor position will split time between core accounting operations and strategic reporting, budgeting and cash‑flow planning.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounts in Zoho Books, recording supplier bills, sales invoices, payments, credit notes, refunds, accruals, prepayments and journal entries.
• Issue invoices for the sales team and manage bulk imports of Bókun transactions, performing pre‑ and post‑import checks.
• Track customer payments, follow up on overdue balances, and manage accounts receivable and payable.
• Create and maintain vendor records, collect required documentation, and review employee card expenses for compliance.
• Reconcile bank accounts, corporate cards and payment channels (Stripe, Alaan, Bókun, Tabby) and ensure proper revenue and cost recognition.
• Handle monthly closing activities, including revenue, deferred revenue, gift cards, cancellations, refunds and foreign‑exchange differences.
• Prepare supplier and contractor payments within approved timelines.
• Support reporting, budgeting, cash‑flow planning and financial analysis.
