Senior Assistant Medical Physicist

About the role

The Senior Assistant Medical Physicist supports all aspects of clinical radiation oncology physics, including treatment planning, quality assurance, radiation safety, and advanced radiotherapy procedures. The role works closely with the Chief of Department, radiation oncologists, medical physicists, radiation therapists, and dosimetrists to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and verify treatment plans using modern TPS (Eclipse, Monaco, RayStation, Pinnacle).
• Conduct patient‑specific and routine machine quality assurance for linear accelerators.
• Implement radiation protection and safety procedures in the department.
• Evaluate target coverage and organ‑at‑risk constraints and participate in peer‑review processes.
• Support advanced radiotherapy techniques such as SRS, FSRT, SBRT/SABR.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Medical Physics, Radiation Physics, or a related discipline.
• Formal postgraduate training in medical physics.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a radiation‑oncology physics department.
• Competence with 3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT/RapidArc, and IGRT.
• Experience with modern linear accelerator‑based clinics.
