Retail Store Manager I – State Liquor Store

About the role

The State of New Hampshire Liquor Commission is seeking a Retail Store Manager I to oversee daily operations of a low‑volume liquor outlet in West Lebanon. This full‑time position focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with state liquor regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise store personnel up to Retail Salesperson III level.
• Open and close the store, handle cash deposits, and manage daily cash handling.
• Set up merchandising displays, maintain store equipment, and conduct regular inventory counts.
• Provide routine training and guidance to all store employees.
• Ensure compliance with New Hampshire Liquor Commission rules and policies.

Required profile

• Equivalent combination of 1 year of education and experience after high school.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift material up to 25 lb continuously and cases of alcohol up to 60 lb.
• Flexibility to work day, evening, and weekend shifts.
• Preferred: one year of experience in a public‑contact, retail, or cash‑handling role.
