Quantity Surveyor / Cost Control Engineer

About the role

AminDevelopers is expanding its Beirut team and seeks a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Control Engineer to own cost management across its project portfolio, from concept and tender stages through construction and close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare full BOQs from drawings, including measurement, take‑off, pricing and rate build‑up for all project phases.
• Measure, price and administer variations and change orders, maintaining an up‑to‑date variation register with full cost impact.
• Track project costs and commitments against approved budgets and issue early warnings on potential overruns.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, cash‑flow forecasts and financial summaries for senior management.
• Review and recommend interim payment certificates and final accounts in line with contract conditions.
• Evaluate contractor and subcontractor tenders for technical, commercial and contractual compliance.
• Support the Project Management Department Head on contractor claims, cost impact analysis and claims register maintenance.
• Assist with contract administration under owner‑side, bespoke or local frameworks, including value‑engineering and cost‑optimization initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of QS / cost control experience in construction, preferably within consultancy, PMC or developer environments.
• Strong knowledge of construction contract administration (owner‑side, bespoke or FIDIC frameworks).

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel.
• Experience with cost‑management software such as CostX or Candy.
• Fluent in Arabic and English; French is a plus.
