Quality Assurance Specialist

About the role

The Quality Assurance Specialist will work closely with software developers and project managers to ensure that applications meet functional, performance, security and regulatory standards. This role involves both manual and automated testing, as well as documentation and client‑facing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers and project managers to understand functionality and ensure testability.
• Develop test plans, test cases and scripts based on specifications.
• Perform manual and automated testing, including functional, performance, security, regression and compatibility testing.
• Execute test cases, record results and document defects.
• Validate fixes and verify defect resolution.
• Identify non‑conformities with standards and suggest corrective actions.
• Conduct regression testing to protect existing functionality.
• Provide status reports and defect metrics.
• Lead user acceptance testing sessions with clients.
• Write guides and manuals for software projects.
• Visit beta testing sites to evaluate performance.
• Maintain and update test documentation.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging testing technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a QA tester.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools and processes.
• Familiarity with AI‑driven testing tools is a plus.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit or TestNG is a plus.
• Proficiency in both manual and automated testing techniques.
• Experience with test management and bug tracking systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
