Public Health Officer – Lebanon Crisis Response (Consultant)

About the role

Project HOPE is seeking a Public Health Officer to support its humanitarian response to the Lebanon crisis. The consultant will oversee implementation of health activities at Primary Healthcare Satellite Units and partner hospitals, ensuring services meet project objectives and national standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily implementation of health activities and adherence to guidelines at PSUs and hospitals.
• Conduct regular field visits (minimum three per week) to assess medical consultations, diagnostics, community outreach and equipment usage.
• Track performance indicators such as service volume, quality, equipment utilization and referral system effectiveness.
• Coordinate with Project HOPE country teams to provide technical support and adapt interventions to evolving community health needs.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of monitoring findings.

Required profile

• Qualified health professional with experience in public health, primary care or humanitarian health programs.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct field monitoring and data collection.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Hasbaya and travel frequently within the project area.
• Strong understanding of national health standards and protocols.
