Public Health Officer – Lebanon Crisis Response (Consultant)

About the role

Project HOPE is seeking a Public Health Officer to support its Lebanon crisis response. The consultant will oversee health service delivery at Primary Healthcare Satellite Units and partner hospitals, ensuring activities align with project goals and national standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor implementation of health activities and adherence to guidelines at supported facilities.
• Conduct regular field visits (minimum three times per week) to assess medical consultations, diagnostics, and community outreach.
• Track performance metrics such as service volume, equipment usage, and referral system effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) reporting requirements, including medication consumption and epidemiologic data.
• Coordinate with Project HOPE country teams to provide technical support and adapt interventions to evolving needs.

Required profile

• Professional background in public health, medicine, nursing, or a related health discipline.
• Experience working in humanitarian or crisis‑affected settings, preferably in the Middle East.
• Ability to conduct on‑site monitoring and produce accurate reports.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with local health authorities and project partners.
