Procurement Officer (Bshamoun, Lebanon)

About the role

The Procurement Officer will support BanoPuratos’ Lebanon operations by ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services needed for our high‑quality bakery and pastry ingredient business. You will work closely with the Procurement Manager, sales teams and suppliers to achieve cost‑effective purchasing while maintaining product availability.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Procurement Manager in developing and executing the department’s strategic plan.
• Prepare stock analysis reports based on item movement and feedback from Area Sales Managers.
• Review pro‑formas and quotations, issue purchase orders and related procurement documents.
• Monitor inventory levels, prevent gaps, and generate daily procurement cycle reports.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date supplier database and ensure shipments are insured when required.
• Enter special orders into the ERP system and provide customers with Certificates of Analysis and Technical Data Sheets upon request.
• Review customs documentation, coordinate with shipping agencies, and resolve discrepancies to avoid demurrage and port fees.
• Communicate regularly with suppliers regarding order status, specifications and any issues.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in stock management or goods purchasing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; Master’s in Logistics is a plus.
• Fluent in English; Arabic required, French a plus.
• Strong knowledge of procurement cycles, policies and procedures.
• Ability to analyse data from multiple sources and produce accurate reports.
• Excellent planning, organization, interpersonal and negotiation abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems for order processing.
