Procurement Engineer

About the role

The Procurement Engineer will support the company in managing tender processes, supplier coordination and technical validation of purchased materials. The role requires close interaction with internal teams, suppliers and end‑users to ensure that all procurements meet technical, commercial and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender requirements and ensure RFQs align with specifications.
• Analyse technical and commercial offers, liaise with suppliers for clarifications.
• Manage pre‑ and post‑bid communications among the company, suppliers and end‑users.
• Validate purchase orders against approved offers and user requirements.
• Coordinate technical matters during manufacturing, including compatibility checks and schedule adherence.
• Review technical documents such as test reports, certificates of compliance and MTCs.
• Arrange and attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and training sessions for end‑user delegates.
• Organise third‑party inspections and handle corrective actions for any non‑conformities.
• Support logistics for material transportation, packaging and loading.
• Provide regular status updates to clients and internal stakeholders and maintain daily job‑status reports.

Required profile

• University engineering degree.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or a related engineering field.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and proof‑reading abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
• Self‑learning capability for new products and applications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
