National Project Officer – Lebanon

About the role

The National Project Officer will support the Programme Coordinator in planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring and reporting on project activities across Lebanon. Working closely with implementing partners, the officer ensures that interventions are delivered on time, meet Johanniter’s quality standards, comply with donor requirements and address the needs of vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Programme Coordinator in overseeing day‑to‑day project follow‑up and ensuring timely, budget‑compliant implementation.
• Track progress against approved work plans, compile partner updates and flag any delays, challenges or risks.
• Ensure partner teams understand and adhere to donor and Johanniter technical, compliance and visibility obligations.
• Support partner and field teams in donor‑compliant planning, monitoring and reporting, including development of implementation plans and progress‑tracking tools.
• Coordinate procurement of project‑related goods and services in line with GFFO and Johanniter procedures, liaising with logistics and finance teams.
• Integrate gender‑sensitive and inclusive approaches throughout project activities.
• Draft narrative reports and review partner financial reports for completeness and compliance.

Required profile

• Experience in project coordination or implementation, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Familiarity with donor regulations, quality standards and reporting requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple partners and stakeholders.
• Commitment to gender‑sensitive and inclusive programming.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
