About the role
The Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer will design, build, and operate enterprise‑scale data platforms on Microsoft Fabric. This role focuses on data ingestion, transformation, storage, governance and platform reliability, supporting analytics, AI and business intelligence across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement Lakehouse architectures using OneLake and Delta Lake, and develop batch, CDC and near‑real‑time ingestion pipelines.
- Build scalable ETL/ELT solutions with Fabric Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, PySpark and SQL, applying Medallion Architecture.
- Optimize Fabric Lakehouses, Data Warehouses and Spark workloads, including partitioning, file management and performance tuning.
- Implement CI/CD with Fabric Git integration, automated testing, and release management using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Establish data quality, governance and security controls, managing lineage, sensitivity labels and access policies.
- Collaborate with architects, analysts and stakeholders, mentor junior engineers and document technical designs.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of data engineering experience.
- At least 2 years hands‑on with Microsoft Fabric or comparable Lakehouse platforms.
- Strong background in designing enterprise‑grade data platforms and pipelines.

- DevOps tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, YAML pipelines, CI/CD, automated testing
- Security & governance: RLS, CLS, sensitivity labels, managed identities, data lineage, audit & compliance
