MEP Technical Manager

About the role

The MEP Technical Manager will lead the technical design, coordination and review of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for multiple projects. Based on‑site in Syria, the role ensures that all MEP solutions meet code requirements, performance targets and constructability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and coordination of MEP systems across various projects.
• Oversee MEP design submittals, shop drawings and material submissions, ensuring compliance with international and local codes.
• Resolve technical issues and provide guidance to project teams during design, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Collaborate with consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders to optimise system performance and cost.
• Support project planning, monitor progress and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and standards.

Required profile

• Strong analytical skills for reviewing designs and solving complex coordination challenges.
• Proven project management experience delivering MEP packages on time and within budget.
• Team‑management capability, including mentoring engineers and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in technical support throughout design and construction phases.
• Involvement in R&D or technical innovation is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering; advanced degree or certifications advantageous.
• Solid knowledge of international and local building codes and standards.
• Excellent communication skills for preparing technical reports and liaising with stakeholders.
• Prior experience in the Middle East region is beneficial.
• Willingness to relocate to Syria.
