MEP Projects Manager – Africa

About the role

We are looking for an experienced MEP Projects Manager to lead the planning, execution and delivery of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across large‑scale construction projects in Africa. The role involves coordinating engineers, subcontractors and clients to ensure timely, quality‑focused and budget‑compliant project outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee on‑site execution of MEP works, ensuring schedule and budget adherence.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and stakeholders to develop detailed project plans and timelines.
• Lead the MEP team, supervising engineers, supervisors and subcontractors.
• Review and approve MEP submittals, shop drawings and material selections for compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections, resolve technical issues and mitigate delays.
• Ensure all MEP installations meet local building codes, safety standards and international best practices.
• Manage the MEP budget, track costs, and coordinate procurement of materials.
• Maintain records of inspections, tests and certifications.
• Provide technical expertise to clients and contractors and develop risk mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of MEP management experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale MEP installations in buildings, hospitals, malls, schools or residential complexes.
• Experience in West Africa, particularly Ivory Coast, is a plus.
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, resource planning and procurement.
