Medical Research Coordinator

About the role

The School of Medicine is seeking a dedicated Medical Research Coordinator to support and streamline research activities across its campuses. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Research, the coordinator will work primarily from the Achrafieh facility while collaborating with the Byblos Campus and LAU Medical Centers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, budgeting, and execution of medical research projects.
• Process faculty research requests and follow up with residents and medical students on project progress and publications.
• Manage PIRF matters, including proposal submission and recruitment of research assistants and post‑docs.
• Support clinical trials by handling feasibility studies, IRB submissions, patient visits, payments, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate research activities with the Office of Graduate Studies and Research, ensuring data integrity and secure storage.
• Oversee post‑doctoral fellow applications, onboarding, salary administration, and event organization.
• Prepare research orientation sessions, track journal impact factors, and identify international research opportunities for students.
• Maintain research policies, produce quarterly reports, and serve as secretary for research committees.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating medical or clinical research projects.
• Familiarity with Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes and regulatory compliance.
• Strong organizational and budget‑monitoring abilities.
• Ability to work across multiple campuses and liaise with faculty, students, and external partners.
