Marketing Manager – Diabetes & Obesity

About the role

The Marketing Manager will shape the brand strategy and positioning for Union Healthcare's Diabetes & Obesity portfolio, defending originator brands against same‑molecule generic competition. The role works closely with Sales, Medical, Market Access, Legal and Regulatory teams to deliver integrated brand plans and drive patient‑focused initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the brand strategy, annual brand plan and budget for the Diabetes & Obesity franchise.
• Conduct competitor and market analysis, manage portfolio sequencing across current and pipeline assets.
• Lead pre‑launch and launch planning for new indications, tracking performance against quarterly KPIs.
• Design and run patient awareness, education, activation and retention programmes.
• Own the digital and social media presence of the brand, creating content and engagement strategies.
• Define pharmacy and trade channel strategy, including pharmacist‑facing tools and training.
• Build relationships with KOLs and key healthcare stakeholders.
• Support Sales with field‑facing materials, messaging and promotional budget management while ensuring full compliance with medical, legal and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the diabetes/obesity therapeutic area or consumer‑health marketing, with GLP‑1 experience considered a strong advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement integrated brand plans and manage product lifecycles, including launches.
• Experience managing external agencies and executing multi‑channel marketing campaigns.
• Hands‑on experience with digital marketing, social media, patient engagement and disease‑awareness initiatives.
• Track record of working with KOLs and cross‑functional healthcare teams.
• Strong analytical, commercial and project‑management capabilities.
• Fluency in English and Arabic; French is an asset.
