Maintenance Engineer – Diesel Generators

About the role

METS Energy is looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of diesel generator systems. You will lead preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and support project execution while providing technical assistance to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections.
• Repair or replace components such as pumps, valves, bearings, and electrical parts.
• Conduct engine overhauls and maintain fuel, cooling, and exhaust systems.
• Execute testing, calibration, and load tests to verify generator performance.
• Coordinate with After‑Sales Service teams to resolve technical issues and handle customer complaints.
• Provide on‑site and remote technical support to clients.
• Assist in project requirement analysis, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and technical proposal development.
• Review technical drawings and support factory teams during assembly and testing.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintain accurate maintenance records, and report recurring issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on experience with diesel generator maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, generator systems, control panels and electrical components.
• Experience in engine overhauls, diagnostics and load testing.
• Ability to work both in the field and workshop environments.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and client‑service skills.
