Lighting Designer

About the role

Fabraca Studios is looking for a Lighting Designer to join its on‑site team in Jdaidet El Matn. The role covers the full design process, from concept development and specification to coordination and execution, working closely with architects, interior designers, engineers and craftsmen.

Key responsibilities

• Develop creative and functional architectural lighting concepts.
• Prepare lighting layouts, drawings, schedules and technical documentation.
• Create lighting calculations, simulations and lux studies using Dialux.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, consultants and project teams.
• Support selection and specification of fixtures, finishes, optics, drivers and control systems.
• Collaborate with production teams and craftsmen to ensure design intent is accurately realised.
• Assist in project presentations, mood boards, material boards and concept documents.
• Review site conditions and support project execution as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in architectural lighting design across all project stages.
• Proven experience with Dialux for lighting calculations and simulations.
• Strong understanding of lighting design principles, architectural detailing and spatial design.
• Ability to read and develop architectural drawings, reflected ceiling plans, elevations and sections.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to translate design concepts into technical drawings.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic or French a plus.
