Legal Advisor

About the role

The Legal Advisor develops and reviews all types of contracts and agreements, handles legal matters and provides legal advice and services to internal stakeholders. The role covers leasing, franchise and retail agreements, permits and licenses, employment-related legal advice, and supervising the paralegal and administrative staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review leasing contracts with the Leasing department and consignment and retail purchase agreements with the retail team, following deadlines and ensuring alignment with ABC standards
• Draft and review franchise agreements, board and general assembly minutes, and agreements for Marketing, Operations, Technical and IT
• Prepare files to obtain permits and licenses such as restaurant permits (Phase I and Phase II)
• Develop, review and update low- to medium-risk agreements, and participate in negotiations on NDAs, SPAs, MOUs and JV agreements
• Advise the HR team on Ministry of Labor cases (disciplinary actions, employee contracts) and prepare written warnings and employment contracts
• Coordinate with HR and audit teams on investigations and help implement legal policies and procedures
• Supervise the paralegal and administrative staff, conduct legal research and due diligence, and review monthly litigation and legal reports
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, stay up to date with best practices, and comply with the authority matrix, code of conduct and HR policies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in law; a Master's is a plus
• 4 to 7 years of experience in corporate and commercial law
• High ethical values, confidentiality and strong work ethic
• Ability to cope with pressure, focus for long periods, pay attention to detail and act quickly
• Communication, flexibility, teamwork, accountability and professionalism in appearance
