Lead Engineer – Bridges

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Engineer – Bridges to join our team in Beirut. The role focuses on the design and analysis of bridge structures for international infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, efficient and code‑compliant solutions that meet client requirements and regulatory frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to structural design of bridge projects across concept, schematic and detailed design stages.
• Design and analyse pre‑stressed and post‑tensioned concrete bridges, including cast‑in‑place box girder structures.
• Perform analysis and design of structural steel bridge systems such as steel girder, box girder and composite bridges.
• Develop structural models and conduct analysis using MIDAS Civil or equivalent bridge design software.
• Ensure designs comply with international standards and codes, including AASHTO LRFD and Eurocodes.
• Prepare design calculations, technical reports, drawings and specifications for project deliverables.
• Coordinate design requirements with multidisciplinary teams and support client discussions.
• Contribute to value engineering, tender documentation and review of design deliverables.
• Provide technical support during construction, responding to RFIs and resolving design issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in bridge design engineering.
• Proven experience in reinforced, pre‑stressed and post‑tensioned concrete bridge systems.
• Strong experience in structural steel bridge design, including steel girder, box girder and composite bridges.
• Familiarity with segmental bridge design methods is highly desirable.
