Junior Treaty Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Treaty Officer to join the treaty division of Chedid Re, part of Chedid Capital. The role provides basic technical support for reinsurance treaties, including accounting, claims handling and data management, under close supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Implement policies and procedures related to treaty operations.
• Maintain and update the Binders database for monitoring purposes.
• Organise, file and archive data and records for statistical reference.
• Assist in generating statements of account for proportional and non‑proportional treaties.
• Provide administrative and technical support to clients, including invoicing and documentation.
• Track claim registers, follow up with cedants and perform data entry of claims.
• Prepare closing documents such as debit and credit notes ensuring accuracy.
• Draft correspondence for insurers and reinsurers to facilitate communication.
• Review and generate placement cover files and perform technical review of placement slips.
• Coordinate queries with brokers and respond to placement and accounting questions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Insurance or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under close supervision.
