IT Support Officer Level 2

About the role

The IT Support Officer (Level 2) provides essential technical and operational assistance to the university community, ensuring that digital environments, hardware, software, and network services remain reliable and secure.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve escalated (L2) hardware, software, and network incidents and monitor systems for optimal performance.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, operating systems (Windows/Mac), and peripheral devices.
• Maintain audit‑ready digital and physical records of IT assets and incidents.
• Prepare IT labs for academic use, apply software updates, and support teaching equipment.
• Provide on‑site technical support for university events and act as the primary liaison for classroom IT and audiovisual requests.
• Ensure compliance with university bylaws and security standards, perform system checks, and generate periodic asset reports.
• Update student and incident information systems with resolution status.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in IT support or high‑volume service environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience in hardware troubleshooting and database management.
• Fluency in English, Arabic, and French.
