Information Governance Manager

About the role

GlobeMed Group, the leading healthcare benefits manager in the MENA region, seeks an Information Governance Manager to design, implement and oversee enterprise‑wide information security strategies. The role ensures that confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets are managed to an acceptable risk level.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direction on information security across the central IT division and the entire organization.
• Lead programs to monitor emerging threats, assess impacts and drive appropriate responses.
• Advise executive management on critical security and assurance issues.
• Establish and maintain an information security and risk‑management framework aligned with ISO 27001.
• Represent security and risk in business and governance forums.
• Oversee alignment of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) with ISO 27001.
• Create, deliver and review security awareness training for staff.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate with application owners to develop Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.
• Conduct periodic enterprise‑wide security risk assessments and maintain the risk register.
• Verify implementation of security controls and support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communication engineering, computer science or information systems.
• 13+ years of experience in information security or related fields.
• Professional security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CEH) highly desired.
• Strong knowledge of security standards, concepts, principles and processes.
