About the role
The Danish Refugee Council is seeking a Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) Program Manager to lead its mine action programme in Lebanon. The role will oversee the design, implementation and quality assurance of all HMA activities, from fundraising and SOP development to training field staff and managing local partners.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and roll out technical standard operating procedures for HMA activities.
- Coordinate fundraising efforts and ensure resources are aligned with programme needs.
- Deliver training and capacity‑building sessions for field staff and partner organisations.
- Supervise and support DRC’s local HMA partners to ensure effective, sustainable operations.
- Collaborate closely with DRC Technical Coordinators, the Area Programme Manager and the Lebanese Mine Action Center (LMAC) to integrate mine action with broader protection and economic recovery programmes.
- Oversee the implementation of Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) and National Technical Standards (NTS) across northern Lebanon, Bekaa, Beirut, Mount Lebanon and the South.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing humanitarian mine action programmes.
- Strong ability to develop SOPs, coordinate fundraising and deliver training.
- Experience working with local partners and coordinating with national mine action authorities.
- Familiarity with the Lebanese humanitarian context and multi‑sectoral programmes.
