Health System Chief Financial Officer

About the role

The Finance, Health System Department is seeking a senior finance leader to serve as the Health System Chief Financial Officer (HS‑CFO). Reporting to the Vice President for Finance, the HS‑CFO will support health services across Lebanon and internationally, guiding financial strategy, planning and execution for the Integrated Health System.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary financial advisor to senior leadership on strategic decisions, capital investments and long‑term sustainability.
• Develop and implement the Integrated Health System’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with the university’s mission and regulatory requirements.
• Provide forward‑looking financial analysis, including scenario planning, sensitivity analysis and risk modeling for executive and board‑level decisions.
• Oversee pricing standards, tariff negotiations and revenue‑cycle management to optimize profitability and ensure accurate charge capture.
• Negotiate contracts and reimbursement rates with insurers, TPAs, government payers and other third‑party agencies.
• Monitor and refine pricing models, special pricing for community patients and billing surcharge structures.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in senior finance roles within health‑care or integrated health systems.
• Proven track record of strategic financial planning, budgeting and capital investment analysis.
• Strong understanding of health‑care reimbursement, tariffing and payer contract negotiations.
• Excellent analytical skills with ability to conduct scenario and risk modeling.
