Head Storekeeper

About the role

UNRWA is seeking a Head Storekeeper to oversee the receipt, storage and distribution of goods in its Beirut warehouse. The incumbent reports to the Warehousing Officer and ensures accurate stock management and compliance with safety and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise receipt, custody and issuance of all commodities, maintaining up‑to‑date stock control records and ensuring accurate ERP entries.
• Oversee warehouse staff and contractor personnel, enforce safety and security procedures, and manage facility maintenance and equipment.
• Coordinate timely loading and off‑loading of trucks, monitor stock transfers and deliveries, and conduct regular spot checks of inventory data.
• Prepare supply documentation, manage infrastructure repairs and upgrades, and maintain a clean, hygienic warehouse environment.

Required profile

• Successful completion of secondary education with a diploma in business/office practice or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in storekeeping or logistics, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
• Fluency in English and Arabic at UN Level II/Level I respectively.
• Ability to declare any affiliations that could affect neutrality as required by UNRWA policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an ERP system for goods receipt, issuance, stock transfer and reporting.
• Strong stock control and warehouse management capabilities.
• Knowledge of facility maintenance and safety/security regulations.

What we offer

• Fixed‑Term Appointment for one year (with possible extension) at Grade 10.
• Monthly salary of USD 1,306.60 (base plus supplementary allowance).
