Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to lead the financial planning, reporting and control functions across the entire group. The role involves close interaction with senior management and the board to ensure accurate financial information and compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and presentation of the annual group budget and ensure timely approvals.
• Control and monitor all group financial transactions, supplier invoices, credit notes and fixed‑asset movements.
• Produce monthly sales, financial and board reports, including Financial Business Reviews.
• Conduct trial‑balance, balance‑sheet, cash‑flow reconciliations and P&L analyses (horizontal and vertical).
• Manage working capital, AR/stock aging and resolve related discrepancies.
• Prepare statutory accounts and consolidated financial statements under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Lead the implementation and use of ERP and Business Objects reporting tools.
• Supervise the finance team, handling hiring, performance reviews, coaching and disciplinary actions.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior finance/controller role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Arabic; French is an advantage.
• Proven experience with ERP implementation projects.
