Graphic Designer

About the role

BADIL, the think-tank arm of Triangle, is a Beirut-based think tank and media outlet advancing progressive, evidence-based alternatives for accountable governance, sustainable peace and social justice in Lebanon and the wider WANA region. It is looking for a full-time Graphic Designer working under the Managing Editor, collaborating with the Digital Media and Communications team, editorial staff and researchers to produce high-quality covers, infographics, iconography and custom illustrations for BADIL publications.

Key responsibilities

• Create original information graphics, article covers and social media posts and carousels.
• Translate researched information into detailed, story-driven illustrations and infographics.
• Work to deadlines and communicate with the editorial team and senior management to track projects.
• Produce designs suitable for social media.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience in a similar position or a portfolio; applicants with no portfolio will not be considered.
• Minimum of two years of corporate or UN/NGO experience.
• Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design, communications or a related field.
• High-level proficiency in English and Arabic (reading, writing and speaking).
• Desired: experience in other media outlets, knowledge of social media design tools such as Canva, video editing and animation experience, motion design, web programming for infographics, published output and client-facing experience.
