GL Accountant – Shared Services (Lebanon)

About the role

The Shared Services Center (SSC) is looking for a General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join its Lebanon office. Working closely with the Antwerp team and reporting to the Group Reporting Manager, you will support the Finance Shared Service team in handling the GL for more than 20 legal entities across the MEA region.

Key responsibilities

• Record journal entries promptly in line with accounting guidelines.
• Post accruals and calculate interest on intercompany loans.
• Perform vendor and customer balance reconciliations.
• Post and reconcile bank accounts for subsidiaries.
• Execute monthly reconciliations of other balance‑sheet accounts.
• Ensure compliance with business policies, internal controls, segregation of duties and delegation of authority.
• Assist with audit processes and provide required documentation.
• Handle ad‑hoc projects or process improvement requests.

Required profile

• First professional experience in finance or accounting.
• Hands‑on, operational mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Comfortable supporting senior accountants and managing multiple legal entities.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to internal controls.
