General Service Technician

About the role

The General Service Technician ensures that all general services within the facility operate safely and efficiently. This role involves routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of building elements such as doors, handrails, thresholds, and painted surfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out daily maintenance tasks and inspections of wooden doors, stainless‑steel thresholds, handrails, and related items.
• Identify and report non‑compliances, providing recommendations for corrective action.
• Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance based on control‑room requests.
• Execute preventive maintenance on all general‑services equipment to maintain reliability.
• Repair wall plaster, render cracks, and prepare surfaces for painting.
• Conduct internal and external painting works and minor repairs on floors, carpets, metal, wooden, and ceiling elements.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and support renovation projects.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontracted service providers to ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of spare parts, and keep accurate service records.
• Prepare daily reports on tasks, service calls, and maintenance activities.

Required profile

• BT Diploma or equivalent technical education.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in general maintenance or facilities services.
• Ability to follow technical policies, safety regulations, and company HR guidelines.
• Strong coordination skills with operations and technical teams.
