Freight Forwarding Specialist – French Speaker

About the role

Trans‑Pro Logistics Inc. is seeking a French‑speaking Ocean & Air Freight Specialist to join its Montreal‑based team remotely from Lebanon. This full‑time position manages end‑to‑end import and export shipments, ensuring smooth operations across ocean and air modes while delivering exceptional client service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete lifecycle of ocean (FCL/LCL) and air import/export shipments.
• Coordinate transportation activities from booking through final delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with carriers, airlines, agents, trucking companies and logistics partners.
• Negotiate rates and identify efficient routing solutions.
• Prepare, review and validate shipping documentation such as Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists and Certificates of Origin.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements and company procedures.
• Collaborate with customs brokers and overseas partners to facilitate cargo clearance.
• Provide timely shipment updates, manage client expectations and resolve operational challenges.
• Review freight invoices for billing accuracy and work closely with sales, operations and accounting teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a freight forwarding company.
• Strong experience in ocean and air import/export operations.
• Solid knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures and freight documentation.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Fluent in English and French (spoken and written).
