Finishing Project Manager

About the role

The Finishing Project Manager will lead and coordinate all architectural and finishing works on construction sites in Nigeria, ensuring high-quality execution of flooring, wall finishes, ceilings, joinery, cladding, painting and specialty finishes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all finishing activities, including flooring, wall finishes, ceilings, joinery, cladding, painting and decorative elements.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor site operations to meet approved schedules and milestones.
• Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings and material submittals for compliance with design intent.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve technical and site issues.
• Lead site coordination meetings and provide regular progress reports to management.
• Control timelines, manpower and resources for efficient execution.
• Oversee QA/QC inspections, snagging and close-out activities for finishing works.
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions to avoid delays.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance on site.
• Support cost control by monitoring variations, material usage and subcontractor performance.
• Manage handover processes, including as-built documentation and warranties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management.
• Minimum 10 years experience as a Project Manager or Senior Site Engineer with a focus on architectural and finishing works.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale or high-end projects with complex finishes.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, timelines and site coordination.
• Excellent leadership, communication and coordination abilities.

Required skills

• Interpretation of architectural and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of finishing materials, installation methods and quality standards.
