Finance Officer - Budgeting, Planning, and Reporting

About the role

This position provides financial support to all Save the Children International programmes in Lebanon. The Finance Officer ensures accurate and timely financial information, assists budget holders, and collaborates with Area Offices and partners to meet internal and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and issue monthly consolidated Budget vs Actuals (BVA) for all active awards and create new BVAs for new awards.
• Load Source of Funds (SoF) budgets into the accounting system, assign budget holders and align BVAs with the Award Management System (AMS).
• Review the general ledger to ensure expenses comply with SCI and donor requirements.
• Assist the Finance Coordinator in preparing donor financial reports and ensure timely, accurate delivery.
• Verify partner expenditures, financial reports and supporting documentation, and manage partner pre‑financing account reconciliations.
• Populate the Sub‑Award Tracker, monitor expenses, and ensure partner payments are processed on time.
• Conduct partnership assessments, review and approve Area Office partner payments.
• Support budget revisions, no‑cost extensions, cost extensions and update forecasts with Area Offices.
• Prepare monthly salary allocations and attend award review, kick‑off and close‑out meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management.
• Very good written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Minimum of 2 years of finance‑related experience.
