Field Coordinator

About the role

The Field Coordinator supports the Project Manager in planning, supervising and monitoring humanitarian and development interventions in the Beirut‑Mount Lebanon area. The role ensures that emergency activities such as kit, voucher, cash and cash‑for‑work distributions are delivered on time, safely and in line with donor and organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in assessments, define resource needs and raise any delays or challenges.
• Develop weekly and monthly movement plans in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Plan, supervise and monitor distribution activities (NFI, food, WASH, shelter, cash).
• Conduct regular field visits, engage with municipalities, local authorities and community leaders.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies and adapt beneficiary selection criteria as needed.
• Prepare purchase requests, timesheets and allowance payments using organisational tools and liaise with logistics.
• Ensure safety and security of beneficiaries, staff and equipment during field operations.
• Maintain operational, financial and indicator tracking tools.

Required profile

• Experience in field coordination or project implementation in humanitarian contexts.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Ability to lead and motivate field assistants and volunteers.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office and data‑collection tools used by NGOs.
• Knowledge of humanitarian distribution processes (kits, cash, vouchers).
• Understanding of donor compliance and reporting requirements.
