Electrical Project Engineer – Solar Power

About the role

Smart Solar Co is seeking a full‑time Electrical Project Engineer to join its on‑site team in Ivory Coast. You will be responsible for designing, reviewing and supporting electrical systems for solar power and related EPC projects, ensuring they meet safety, quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical engineering drawings, specifications and calculations for power distribution, protection schemes and grid integration.
• Prepare accurate bills of quantities and equipment specifications to support procurement.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and suppliers to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
• Conduct site visits, assist with installation and commissioning, and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design standards and project delivery processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Strong foundation in electrical engineering concepts applied to renewable energy systems.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and collaborate with external stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills with a focus on safety and quality.
