Education IT Systems Specialist

About the role

The Education IT Systems Specialist supports schools and other educational institutions by managing and optimizing a variety of education‑focused IT applications. You will work within a team of specialists, providing both hands‑on support and strategic consultancy to improve system adoption and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain student information, tracking, testing, and study‑guidance systems.
• Provide remote or onsite support to address immediate capacity needs.
• Conduct assessments of system configurations and recommend optimisations.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to map information flows and suggest process improvements.
• Deliver consultancy and advisory services as you progress to more strategic roles.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to quickly understand complex systems.
• IT‑focused education (e.g., MBB, HBO ICT, Computer Science) and awareness that success depends on configuration and user adoption.
• Excellent communication and people‑oriented skills to build relationships across departments.
• Proactive attitude with a high sense of responsibility and ownership.
