Director of Experiential Education

About the role

The Lebanese American University School of Pharmacy seeks a visionary leader to direct its Experiential Education program. This senior academic position will shape the strategic direction of undergraduate and professional experiential learning, fostering high‑quality patient‑care experiences and interprofessional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and advance all experiential education initiatives, including IPPEs, APPEs, observerships, internships, and residency‑related activities.
• Oversee student placement, onboarding, scheduling, and continuous quality assurance for experiential rotations.
• Ensure compliance with ACPE and AACP accreditation standards.
• Integrate social and behavioral sciences—advocacy, communication, ethics, public health, and social determinants of health—into both didactic and experiential curricula.
• Collaborate with residency program directors on postgraduate training and develop spiral competencies across learner levels.
• Expand partnerships with healthcare systems, industry, ambulatory and community sites, as well as U.S. affiliated institutions.
• Explore emerging areas such as AI, simulation, and innovative clinical training methods.

Required profile

• Accomplished pharmacy educator and scholar with a strong record of academic leadership.
• Demonstrated expertise in academic administration, accreditation, curriculum innovation, and competency‑based education.
• Experience in experiential and interprofessional pharmacy education and practice.
• Ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships with local, regional, and international partners.
