About the role
The Seasonal Demi Chef de Partie will support the Chef de Partie in preparing, presenting, storing and serving a selection of dishes at a luxury hotel kitchen in Beirut. This role is ideal for a motivated culinary professional looking to develop leadership skills in a fast‑paced, high‑standard environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare food, beverages, materials and equipment required for service.
- Cook and plate dishes according to the restaurant’s menu.
- Guide and supervise kitchen helpers, including commis, cooks, attendants and stewards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, resetting stations as needed.
- Collaborate with the superior and People Services Manager to ensure productive departmental performance.
- Coach, counsel and discipline staff in line with hotel policies.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor financial targets.
- Promote recycling and cost‑saving measures.
- Log security incidents and accidents per hotel requirements.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- HACCP certification.
- Minimum 1 year of kitchen experience.
- Excellent oral and written skills in the local language and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to work as part of a team, thrive under pressure and provide proactive solutions.
- Strong communication, organization and time‑management abilities.
- Commitment to professional, confidential and ethical conduct.
