Country Team Lead – Lebanon

About the role

The Country Team Lead will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for Project HOPE’s programmes in Lebanon. Reporting to the Regional Office, the incumbent will be the senior in‑country representative responsible for delivering humanitarian, recovery, resilience and health‑systems strengthening initiatives in line with donor requirements and Lebanese regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the country’s strategic direction, develop and update the Lebanon country strategy and annual operational plans.
• Oversee programme implementation, ensuring quality, compliance and alignment with humanitarian principles.
• Represent Project HOPE with government ministries, UN agencies, donors, coordination platforms and strategic partners.
• Lead risk management, operational compliance and financial oversight across all country functions.
• Drive resource mobilisation, donor relations and partnership development.
• Provide people leadership, coaching and performance management for the country team.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in humanitarian or health‑sector programmes, preferably in the Middle East.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑stakeholder environments and navigate Lebanese legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated success in donor relations, resource mobilisation and partnership building.
• Strong risk, compliance and financial oversight capabilities.
• Excellent communication and representation skills with government and international actors.
