Country Director – Lebanon

About the role

Relief International is seeking a senior leader to head its Lebanon mission. The Country Director will guide the organization through a rapidly changing environment, scaling up health, nutrition, education and livelihoods programmes while ensuring high‑quality delivery and strong donor relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the strategic vision for the Lebanon mission.
• Lead the scale‑up of existing programmes and develop new initiatives with donors and partners.
• Represent Relief International at high‑level meetings with government authorities, UN agencies, donors and media.
• Oversee fundraising, resource mobilisation and financial management of a $5 million budget.
• Ensure programme quality, risk and access management, security and compliance with organisational policies.
• Manage the Lebanon senior management team and programme staff.

Required profile

• Dynamic approach able to address both strategic and operational issues.
• Proven communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience working with donors, government institutions, UN agencies and partners in a humanitarian context.
• Ability to lead a multi‑disciplinary team in a complex, fluid environment.
