Cost Controller

About the role

The Cost Controller will join CIS Group’s ICT team in Beirut, overseeing the financial performance of operational and project activities. You will work closely with senior managers to ensure costs stay within approved budgets and provide insights that drive efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control operational and project costs against approved budgets.
• Analyse cost structures, profitability and overall financial performance.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual cost reports.
• Conduct variance analysis (actual vs budget vs forecast) and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and propose efficiency improvements.
• Develop interactive dashboards and visualisations using Excel and Power BI.
• Present financial data through charts, graphs and KPIs for management decision‑making.
• Automate reporting processes to enhance data visibility.
• Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and update forecasts based on actual performance.
• Collaborate with all departments to ensure accurate cost planning and adherence to financial policies.
• Assist internal and external audits and maintain data integrity across systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Analysis or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in cost control, financial analysis or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial analysis.
• Fluent in Arabic, English and French.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (dashboards, pivot tables, complex formulas).
• Power BI or comparable data‑visualisation tools.
• Cost accounting and financial analysis techniques.
