Corporate Lawyer

About the role

Artefact is seeking an experienced in‑house Legal Counsel to manage all legal matters for its MENA operations (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar) from a base in Beirut. The role is hands‑on and generalist, focusing on commercial contracts, corporate governance, compliance and coordination with an external retained law firm.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate client contracts, NDAs and data‑privacy agreements across the MENA region.
• Manage inter‑company agreements with global Artefact offices and local staffing contracts.
• Oversee entity formation, shareholding structures, Power of Attorney and KYC documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and Artefact’s global transfer‑pricing policy.
• Lead the setup of new legal entities and maintain relationships with regional banks.
• Coordinate with the retained law firm for ad‑hoc legal issues, vendor and client escalations, and HR‑related matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an in‑house counsel or commercial legal role.
• Strong commercial legal background with proven contract drafting, review and negotiation skills.
• Experience in a consulting or professional‑services environment is strongly preferred.
• Native‑level Arabic (written and spoken) and fluent English.
• Hands‑on experience working across UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, including entity setup and corporate governance.
