Contracts Engineer – Beirut, Lebanon

About the role

The Contracts Engineer will oversee the full lifecycle of EPC contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies, client requirements, and legal regulations. This role involves close collaboration with legal, procurement, finance, and project teams to align contractual terms with operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, review, and manage contracts from inception to close‑out.
• Assist in negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Maintain thorough documentation for audits, claims, and dispute resolution.
• Handle variations, claims, and change orders, ensuring proper evaluation and approval.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure contract terms support financial and operational objectives.
• Stay updated on EPC contract laws, industry standards, and best practices.
• Provide regular reports on contract performance, risks, and compliance to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of contract administration experience in EPC, construction, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and EPC/EPCM agreements.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent in Arabic and English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with FIDIC contract frameworks.
• Experience handling EPC/EPCM agreements and subcontractor contracts.
• Competence in contract management software.
• Advanced use of the MS Office Suite.
