Contracts Engineer - Beirut

About the role

The Contracts Engineer will oversee the full lifecycle of EPC contracts for projects based in Beirut. You will ensure that all contractual obligations are met while supporting the project teams with risk mitigation, negotiation, and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, review, and manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with company policies, client requirements, and legal regulations.
• Assist in contract negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Maintain thorough records and documentation for audits, claims, and dispute resolution.
• Manage variations, claims, and change orders, ensuring proper evaluation, documentation, and approval processes.
• Coordinate with legal, procurement, finance, and project teams to align contract terms with operational and financial objectives.
• Stay updated on EPC contract laws, industry standards, and best practices, ensuring contracts adhere to local and international regulations.
• Provide regular reports on contract performance, risks, and compliance to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in contract administration within an EPC, construction, or infrastructure environment.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, EPC/EPCM agreements, subcontractor agreements, and procurement contracts.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements in the EPC sector.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
