About the role
The Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) seeks a qualified consultant to lead the development of e‑Transactions and Trust Services legislation for Yemen. Working remotely, the consultant will produce a comprehensive Arabic report that supports legal modernization and digital transformation initiatives across the Arab region.
Key responsibilities
- Research and analyse existing e‑transaction frameworks and trust services regulations relevant to Yemen.
- Prepare a detailed report in Arabic, not less than 30 pages, including an executive summary of 2‑4 pages.
- Ensure the report contains a dynamically generated table of contents, lists of tables and figures, and proper citation of all sources.
- Submit all deliverables in MS‑Word (*.docx) format, adhering to ESCWA’s plagiarism‑checking standards.
- Provide scanned copies of the first pages of all reference materials used.
Required profile
- Proven experience in legal research, especially in ICT, e‑transactions, or trust services law.
- Strong command of Arabic for drafting high‑quality technical documents.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines within a 16‑week timeframe.
